Evaluating Your Third-Party Crematory to Avoid Litigation
Tuesday, June 19, 2018
1:00 - 2:00 p.m. EST
One (1) NYS CEU
Presented by Michael E. Nicodemus
Numerous lawsuits are filed because a Third-Party Cremation Provider looks at cremation as just “Simply Business”. They have no relationship to the family, nor do they receive any training from cremation experts. There is little supervision, and most of the time, pay is minimal. That is why it is imperative, you, the funeral home using that Third-Party Provider, establish policies and procedures with that provider. Conducting a crematory interview, and an unannounced inspection goes a long way if you are ever sued by the actions, or inactions, of your Third-Party Provider. The failure of practicing Due Diligence is now deemed irresponsible and negligent by a court of law. This one hour program will explain what you need to do to assure your Third-Party Provider is conducting cremations in a legal, professional, and ethical manner.
